Hi, it’s really tricky to find good organizations, but in my travels i’ve come across one fantastic place on the outskirts of a town called Arusha in Tanzania. It’s called Meserani Education Center, if you want to volunteer you have to go minimum 4 months i believe. It’s quite rural and they work mainly with Maasai, the vast majority you’d encounter there don’t understand speak english or even swahili. These guys are really serious about their work and do a great job. I’m sorry i can’t list more, it’s just i’ve not come across too many which i’d put my name by. Art in Tanzania are good, but experience a high number of volunteers which can sometimes lead the focus away from what you’re there to do. I guess the best thing would be to just search online, sorry i can’t be of more help!
